ARTS COUNCIL OF INDPLS - THE MURALS FOR RACIAL JUSTICE

In response to protests after the unjust death of George Floyd, the Arts Council of Indianapolis commissioned several Indianapolis-based black artists to create 22 murals on boarded up storefronts in Downtown Indianapolis. My dear friend, Andre Parnell was one of the chosen artists. His mural located at ReproGraphix was painted of his vision by several volunteers. The mural will be relocated to the Cultural Trail in 2021.

INDIANA ON TAP - INAUGURAL TASTING SOCIETY

INDIANA ON TAP - INAUGURAL TASTING SOCIETY

The Indiana On Tap Tasting Society is a group of Indiana craft beer lovers who convene once monthly to enjoy unique Indiana craft beer, wine, mead, cider, spirits, art, music and more. No two monthly events are the same. If it's Indiana made and it's new or unique, we will have it and we want you to try it.

The goal of these events is to showcase our state's fine breweries, wineries, distilleries and artisans by bringing something special and different to our audience at each event. The events are intimate--it isn't a festival. Attendees will have a one-on-one opportunity to talk to these brewers about their offerings and to really get to know them better.

The event is also Indiana's premier venue for trading rare and hard-to-find beers from all over the state and the nation. Plan your trades in advance on the Indiana On Tap Beer Trading Forum or meet new people to at the event for trades. While bottle trading can be planned and discussed at the event, the actual trades cannot take place inside of the event itself but must take place in the parking lot. Attendees who facilitate trades will be allowed to re-enter the event throughout the event.

The first Tasting Society event will be held on Friday, May 15th at Speak Easy and will feature Indiana breweries Scarlet Lane Brewing Company of McCordsville and Noble Order Brewing of Richmond (who will also be bringing some special meads and wine from J&J Winery & Cafe). Indianapolis-based guest homebrewers Jon and Pete from Centerpoint Brewing will also be on hand to share and discuss some of their unique brews.

The featured artist will be local RAW artist Andrea Dudgeon. You can learn more about Andrea and her unique work here:http://www.andreadudgeon.com/. The Ukuwailers will be performing their unique blend of Ukulele + 90s Hip Hop. Food will be available from Caveman Truck

Tickets to this first event will cost only $10 per person. Upon entry, each attendee will receive 12 tickets, each good for a 3oz. tasting pour from any of our vendors. Or, four tickets will get you a 12oz pour. Additional tickets will be on sale for just $1/ticket.

Tickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-indiana-on-tap-tasting-society-may-gathering-tickets-16059900595

Attendees will be required to drink responsibly and plan their transportation to and from the event.
